Four suspects arrested in March shooting that left man with life-altering injuries
Winnipeg police have arrested four men in connection with a March shooting that left a 34-year-old man seriously injured.
On March 24, police were called to the 200 block of College Avenue where they found a man suffering from a serious gunshot wound to his lower body in a suite of a multi-room residence.
Police later determined that five days earlier, on March 19, four suspects arrived at the victim’s room and physically assaulted him with firearms. They kept the man there against his will and threatened to kill him. Two of the suspects were known to the victim.
When they returned on March 24, they forced their way into his room and again assaulted the victim with a firearm and threatened to kill him. After shooting him, they fled.
The victim sustained life-altering injuries.
According to a Sunday release, police arrested four suspects, ranging in age from 27 to 36, throughout June. They face charges ranging from assault with a weapon, kidnapping, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, break and enter, and others.
